A LONGITUDINAL STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON GAMING, AGGRESSION, AND DEPRESSION IN ADOLESCENTS

AUTHORS: Komrska Š., Suchá J., Pipová H., Dolejš M.

INTRODUCTION: Distance learning and quarantines led to a significant rise in internet and digital game usage. Depression rates also increased during the COVID-19 pandemic (Ripon et al., 2020). Adolescents faced challenges too, showing emotional instability and aggressive behavior fueled by fear of contagion and uncertainty from the Internet (Zhang et al., 2022).
